Screwfix Turns Convenience Into a Sportswear-Style OOH Campaign
Screwfix has unveiled a new campaign created in partnership with M+C Saatchi Group UK, building on the momentum of its “No Stopping You” brand platform.
The campaign positions Screwfix’s convenience services through the visual language of sportswear advertising, using dynamic photography, bold typography and high-energy compositions to make speed and performance feel central to the retailer’s offer.
The work comes as new customer research from Screwfix highlights convenience as the retailer’s strongest competitive advantage. The campaign is designed to reinforce speed and ease while driving usage of Screwfix Sprint Delivery, Click & Collect and Check-In services among tradespeople and DIY customers.
Bringing Speed to Trade Retail
At the centre of the campaign is Screwfix ambassador Sir Mo Farah, whose association with speed and performance helps bring the retailer’s convenience proposition to life.
Building on last year’s launch campaign, this latest creative evolves “No Stopping You” from a broad brand platform into a more direct expression of Screwfix’s delivery and collection services.
Why the Sportswear Language Works
The creative approach is rooted in a simple idea: sport is one of the clearest cultural shortcuts for speed and performance.
By applying the familiar codes of sportswear campaigns to trade retail, Screwfix makes its services feel like performance advantages. Sprint Delivery, Click & Collect and Check-In are not presented as basic utilities, but as tools that help customers keep moving without interruption.
This gives the campaign a distinctive look within the trade retail category. Instead of relying on purely functional messaging, Screwfix turns convenience into something energetic, competitive and emotionally recognisable.
OOH Built for Energy and Impact
The out-of-home executions use bold typography, dynamic photography and fast-paced visual compositions to disrupt expectations in the category.
For tradespeople and DIY customers, speed is not abstract. It can mean getting a missing part quickly, collecting an order without delay or keeping a job on schedule. The campaign translates those practical benefits into a visual world that feels immediate and high-performance.
Jack Wallace, marketing director at Screwfix, said convenience has always been at the heart of the brand, with speed of service being the number one reason customers continue to choose Screwfix.
Sir Mo Farah as a Shortcut for Performance
Sir Mo Farah gives the campaign a powerful and instantly recognisable connection to speed.
Two new social-first films starring Mo capture the energy and ease of Screwfix’s services through authentic, unscripted moments filmed on set. The films were designed to feel reactive, playful and socially native, blending Mo’s personality and humour with real customer moments.
This helps extend the campaign beyond OOH, creating content that feels natural across platforms while still reinforcing the same core idea: Screwfix helps customers keep going.
A Multi-Channel Convenience Push
The campaign is rolling out across OOH, social, YouTube, radio, digital audio and display channels.
It also incorporates the Click & Collect launch spot, which originally ran in October 2025, along with AV cutdowns. Social activity is running across Meta, TikTok and Reddit, with media planning and buying handled by Dentsu Media, PR by McCANN and social by Eight & Four.
Marcus Peffers, executive chair at M+C Saatchi Group UK, said the campaign draws on what the agency calls Cultural Power: the ability to move people emotionally by tapping into behaviours and passions already shaping culture.
What Makes the Campaign Effective
- It uses a clear cultural shortcut: Sportswear advertising instantly communicates speed, energy and performance.
- It connects service to emotion: Convenience becomes more than a function; it becomes a performance advantage.
- It uses the right ambassador: Sir Mo Farah gives the campaign immediate credibility around speed.
- It disrupts the category: The campaign brings bold, athletic visual codes into trade retail.
- It works across channels: OOH, social, YouTube, audio and display all reinforce the same convenience message.
Bottom Line
Screwfix’s latest “No Stopping You” campaign shows how a retailer can turn a practical service benefit into a distinctive brand platform.
By borrowing from the visual language of sportswear advertising and using Sir Mo Farah as a symbol of speed, Screwfix makes its convenience services feel fast, memorable and culturally relevant.
The campaign proves that even functional retail messages can become powerful OOH stories when they are connected to a clear cultural idea and executed with energy.
